SCHEDULING YOUR SURGERYThe Center works closely with your doctor’s office to schedule surgery at a time that is most convenient for you. We encourage you to carefully review and complete all of the paperwork and/or instructions provided by your physician. Several days before your surgery, you will receive an email and/or text with a link to complete our pre-admission questionnaire. You will also receive a call from our Financial Coordinator if a deductible, copay and/or coinsurance is due on the date of service. Please call us at 301-694-3400 with any questions.
ARRIVING AT FREDERICK SURGICAL CENTERThe Center is located in Frederick, Maryland on Thomas Johnson Drive. Ample parking is available right out our door. When you arrive at the Center, please register with the admitting clerk. We will then begin your pre-operative process that includes a review of your medical forms. Please plan to arrive at least 60 minutes prior to your scheduled surgery to ensure adequate time to complete this process.
ABOUT YOUR BILL
Frederick Surgical Center accepts most major commercial insurance, HMO/PPO plans, Medicare, and Workers Compensation. We will need a copy of your insurance cards to properly file your insurance
. However, many health plans require pre-certification before surgical procedures can be performed. It is your responsibility to ensure that all appropriate paperwork, provided by your surgeon, has been completed to allow our Financial Coordinators to obtain pre-certification from your insurance company
. If pre-certification is not obtained, your medical insurance may not cover the cost of your surgery.
It is our policy to collect any co-pays, co-insurances, and/or deductibles at the time services are rendered (the Center accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Care Credit). After your surgery you may receive three separate bills; one from the Surgery Center, one from your physician, and if applicable, another for anesthesia services. If you do not have health insurance, we ask that you be responsible for our facility charge on the day of surgery, unless other arrangements are made in advance with our business office.
